Changelog

New updates and improvements to DINQ.

September update: Search plans, candidate details & exports

This update brings together search planning, candidate results, email lookup and profile exports, helping you move from finding people to reviewing and contacting them.

Submit your requirements to generate a search objective and screening criteria. Review and edit the plan before searching: adjust must-have, preferred and excluded criteria, and set the number of candidates you want returned.

Check search progress and status, switch between conversations and return to existing results. For searches with multiple rounds, switch result versions to review the people found under different criteria.

Results include match information, years of experience and expertise tags, alongside matching reasons and source links. Use these details to decide which candidates to explore further.

Look up emails for individual candidates or in bulk. Results are saved to search history and the corresponding profiles for later review and contact. Credit notices, lookup progress and missing-email states are clearer.

Export search results as CSV or Markdown to organize your candidate list. From an enriched candidate profile, download the profile as Markdown, PNG or PDF for editing, sharing or archiving.

Mobile search layouts and example previews have been refined. Search progress, session restoration and example replays have also been improved, with fewer repeated or irrelevant notices.

Smoother search sessions & guided onboarding

Continue multi-round searches more easily and start specialized talent searches with a clearer starting point.

Session restoration, round switching and history views have been improved. Add criteria, revisit previous results or switch to another search while keeping your existing progress and results.

New templates cover financial AI, embodied intelligence, simulation engineering and quantitative research. Choose a scenario to fill the search box, adjust locations, skills and experience, then confirm before starting.

Step-by-step onboarding and a video explain how to describe requirements, upload attachments and review results. The video has English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese subtitles. Replay the guidance or watch complete search examples without spending Credits.

Switch between personal and team workspaces, with the sidebar remembering its expanded or collapsed state. Search and history are easier to reach. For Talent Radar, team plans or bulk API search, select your needs and submit an inquiry to arrange a product demo.

Team workspaces & referral rewards

Enterprise team workspaces bring talent discovery, candidate review and shared recruiting work together.

Team members can search for talent, keep search history, manage shortlists and track candidates through Talent Radar. Owners and administrators can invite members, assign roles and monthly allowances, manage subscriptions, and view and export member usage. Contact sales to arrange an enterprise workspace.

The referral program announced with this update offered 500 Credits to each person after an invited friend activated their account, for up to five rewards and 2,500 Credits for the inviter. Invitation links can be shared through LinkedIn, X, WhatsApp or email.

A full product video on the homepage introduces the main workflows for discovering, evaluating and managing talent.

A new OpenReview signal shows a researcher’s main collaborators, shared papers, institutions and OpenReview profile, helping you explore their research network.

From talent search to candidate outreach

This update connects search, candidate review, enrichment and outreach in one workflow.

Search supports requests involving roles, skills, industries, locations, experience and candidate counts, across people, teams, open-source projects and academic research. Sources include professional profiles, research, code and AI model communities, and personal websites.

Enrich brings together roles, experience, skills, research, projects, papers and recent professional activity from public sources, with checks to help distinguish people with the same name and confirm affiliations. Match Confidence explains why a candidate matches, while email results show source information.

Prepare personalized outreach using the candidate and hiring context. The composer supports different languages, reference files, reusable templates, custom instructions and multiple sending accounts.

View and enrich candidate profiles directly from Shortlist. Updated Talent Radar tables, filters and details make ongoing review easier. Adjust search criteria and schedules, pause or resume a radar, and check its next run.

Organization administrators can export member information as Excel or CSV.

Multi-round search & MCP guides

Review results across search rounds and bring DINQ talent search into your AI workspace.

New guides explain how to connect DINQ Search to Claude, Codex and WorkBuddy. Follow the setup steps and try a talent search from your existing AI workflow.

Multi-round searches default to a combined results view. Switch back to an individual round when you want to review or compare earlier results.

Deep search added support for GLM 5.2 and GPT 5.6 in this update.

Public links found in search results and candidate profiles are passed to Enrich as sources for identity checks and additional information. The enrichment flow brings together sources including GitHub, Hugging Face, Scholar and LinkedIn.

Profile terminology and navigation are more consistent, with direct links to your profile and search in the account menu. Google sign-in opened inside WeChat now guides you to continue in your default browser.

Search examples & candidate analysis

Search examples, inline analysis and clearer history help you explore candidates without losing your place.

Results now include source sorting and platform icons, with DINQ data shown first. When a candidate is a DINQ user, you can start a direct message from their profile.

The sidebar shows when a background search is running and notifies you when it finishes.

Enrich displays visual analysis from Scholar, LinkedIn and GitHub in the candidate view, so you can review information from several platforms without opening separate pages.

Search replays demonstrate a complete search, including requests with documents and images. Advisor search, citation tracking and profile analysis share the main search box, with examples to help you get started.

Profile Email, Blog & Docs

API Playground now gives Profile Email its own clearer flow, making it easier to test email lookup before using it in a real integration. Public pages also got new blog, docs, and partner updates.

API Playground now includes a Profile Email request for finding work email candidates from public profile links. You can paste candidate URLs directly, pull profile links from People Search results, and test the request without leaving the playground.

The form supports GitHub, LinkedIn, Google Scholar, Hugging Face, and other profile URLs, so developers can try the same kinds of profiles they expect to handle in production.

The playground layout is cleaner, candidate URL rows are easier to edit, and the add-URL action is more visible. The current plan card now also includes a pay-as-you-go toggle, so billing setup is closer to the API test flow.

Email usage records are clearer, so it is easier to understand what each charged request was for.

A new Fugu roster post is live, with better cover images and table-of-contents behavior on blog pages.

The homepage now includes V-START, the footer links to docs, and pricing layouts were adjusted for smaller screens.

Better Deep Search Results

Deep Search results are now easier to scan, compare, and act on. The update focuses on how candidates are presented, how follow-up choices appear, and how profile email lookup explains what is happening.

Candidate results now have a cleaner table layout with clearer names, statuses, and result details. The goal is to make it easier to compare people without losing the context from the search answer.

On mobile, result cards were tightened so names, key information, and actions stay easier to read on smaller screens.

When DINQ looks for a profile email, the page now shows progress step by step instead of leaving the result area feeling static. You can see the lookup continue, review the sources as they come in, and keep the email panel open while reviewing the candidate.

Follow-up choices now handle longer text better, including two-line options. Summary replies are also more reliable when you continue a search from a previous answer.

Search model names are now easier to understand, without raw internal IDs appearing in the interface.

Pricing now shows yearly savings more clearly, and subscription and pay-as-you-go labels were cleaned up across languages.

DINQ in English and Chinese

DINQ is now easier to use across English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

You can switch languages from more places, including the account menu, footer, and public header.

Search, Inbox, My DINQ, Shortlist, Talent Radar, Organizations, Integrations, History, and Settings now support the new language options.

The homepage, profile pages, analysis pages, pricing, blog, legal pages, sign-in, signup, payment results, and onboarding now have clearer English and Chinese copy.

Mobile navigation and onboarding were updated, and new help docs were added for API Playground, Talent Radar, and the mobile app.

Teams, Invites & Pay-As-You-Go

Teams, invites, API testing, and billing all got easier to manage this week.

Organizations can now update their branding, and team pages handle longer setup forms more smoothly.

Team conversations now support replies, and deleting team conversations is clearer.

Invite codes now work after signup too, so new members can create an account first and still join the right team.

The playground now includes Skill and MCP modes, plus clearer guidance when choosing how many results to return.

Pay-as-you-go billing now has clearer setup steps and lets you remove saved payment methods when needed.

People Search API Playground

API Playground now makes it easier to try DINQ People Search before adding it to your own product.

You can choose active-time filters, pick sources, and see clearer feedback after each request.

Search results are shown as people cards, with support for GitHub, LinkedIn, Google Scholar, Hugging Face, and company-style sources.

The Code tab now includes examples you can copy and adapt when building your own integration.

Deep Search now accepts file-only requests, and demo requests now end with a direct way to schedule a call.

Billing, Talent Radar & Profile Setup

This update makes billing clearer, renames the task area to Talent Radar, and smooths profile setup.

Subscription pages now show renewal timing more clearly, support invoice PDF downloads, and refresh credits more reliably after paid actions.

The task workspace is now called Talent Radar, with clearer access rules for people using the early version.

Onboarding now suggests profile handles from your information, keeps previews editable, and handles expired resume uploads more gracefully.

API Playground is easier to find from Integrations, and related actions now live in cleaner workspace menus.

Landing, Talent Pages & Onboarding

DINQ's public pages and signup flow are clearer, warmer, and easier to use.

The homepage now has a warmer look, smoother motion, a world-map search direction, company logos, clearer demo entry points, and better mobile layouts.

Public talent pages now tell a clearer candidate story, show real profile data, and work better on mobile.

Signup now handles organization invites, profile handles, text input, and profile setup from existing account data more smoothly.

Pricing cards and upgrade steps were cleaned up so plan choices and credits are easier to understand.

DINQ Workspace Update

A large DINQ workspace update is live, bringing search, shortlists, teams, mobile pages, onboarding, billing, and API testing into one place. Discover has evolved into DINQ Deep Search, giving search a fuller workspace for candidate discovery, comparison, and follow-up actions.

Deep Search now keeps the whole search in one workspace, including the answer, candidate results, saved history, profile details, and outreach actions.

Shortlists now support folders, table and card views, candidate statuses, tags, bulk actions, PDF export, and profile lookup from saved candidates.

Teams can create organization workspaces, manage members, send invites, review join requests, open team chats, and use team recruiting features.

Talent Radar helps teams track candidate searches, review search records, open task details, and ask follow-up questions.

The workspace now has mobile navigation, a My page, mobile search history, improved shortlist actions, and better layouts across profile, task, settings, and search pages.

Signup and profile setup now support social-link detection, invites, profile drafts, editable previews, and resume management.

The workspace now includes clearer plan, credit, billing, and subscription pages, plus the first API Playground for trying DINQ search APIs.

Messages & Inbox

Messages and notifications are easier to follow across DINQ profiles and workspace pages.

The profile message panel now has a cleaner conversation layout, a redesigned input, and smoother behavior when starting a chat from someone's profile.

Inbox now includes a notifications tab with simple navigation, so messages and updates are easier to scan in one place.

Changelog & Blog

DINQ now has a public changelog and a cleaner place for longer product notes.

Product updates now live on a dedicated changelog page and are linked from the footer, so new features are easier to follow.

The blog now supports markdown posts, with better page titles, descriptions, and social sharing previews.

Visitor Map

Your profile can now show who has visited and where those visits came from.

Hover any dot to see the city, visitor count, and up to 3 visitor previews. You can zoom, use the map controls, or click a viewer to move the map to their location.

The visitor list shows each viewer's name, company, and last visit time. Click a card to open their DINQ profile. DINQ Basic subscribers get the full paginated list, while free accounts see a preview of up to 10 visitors.

Who Cites Me & Analysis in Chat

Discover now has two new ways to understand research profiles and related work.

Open the tool from Discover, choose By Author or By Paper, and enter a name or paper title. DINQ shows papers that cite the work, with author affiliations, h-index, citation counts, and research topics. Authors with DINQ profiles include a direct profile link.

When you search for a Scholar, GitHub, or LinkedIn profile in Discover, DINQ can show two quick analysis cards inside the chat. Use Shuffle to see different cards, or View Full Analysis for the complete breakdown.

Find My Advisor

Find My Advisor helps students and researchers discover possible advisors around the world.

Go to Discover, open Tools, choose Find My Advisor, upload your CV, optionally choose target countries, and add any notes that matter. DINQ returns up to 5 advisor recommendations with a clear explanation for each match.

Each recommendation shows the advisor's name, position, institution, related research areas, match scores, and a plain-language explanation of why the match may fit.

Each card shows available contact information. You can copy an email, or open Scholar, GitHub, or LinkedIn links to analyze or visit the profile.

Valentine's Day

For February 14, the homepage and Discover search got a Valentine's Day theme.
